The Canton Fair is one of the key international trade events for global buyers looking for China suppliers. The 140th Canton Fair will be held in Guangzhou from October 15 to November 4, 2026. The second phase, from October 23 to 27, includes building and decorative materials and furniture, making it particularly relevant for buyers sourcing construction and interior products.
Why Source Plywood from China at Canton Fair 2026?
For importers, wholesalers, furniture manufacturers, and construction material distributors, the Canton Fair provides an opportunity to discover Chinese suppliers and compare different product options.
If you are looking for commercial plywood, furniture plywood, marine plywood, or other plywood products, meeting suppliers directly can help you better understand product specifications, surface quality, core materials, packaging, MOQ, and export services.
However, visiting the fair is only the first step. Buyers should also evaluate the supplier’s manufacturing capabilities and long-term supply reliability.
What Should Buyers Check When Choosing a Plywood Supplier?
1. Product Quality
Ask about plywood thickness, core materials, veneer quality, bonding performance, surface condition, and applicable standards. Samples are also useful for comparing different suppliers before placing a bulk order.
2. Production Capability
A reliable plywood manufacturer should be able to provide stable quality and consistent specifications for repeat orders. Buyers should ask about available sizes, thicknesses, packaging options, and production lead times.
3. Export Experience
For overseas buyers, experience with international shipments is important. Discuss container loading, packaging, shipping documents, payment terms, and delivery arrangements before confirming an order.
4. Price and Total Cost
Do not compare plywood prices based only on the unit price. Consider plywood grade, thickness, core material, packaging, MOQ, shipping costs, and product consistency.
Can You Visit a Plywood Factory After Canton Fair?
Yes. For serious buyers, a factory visit can provide additional information that is difficult to obtain from a trade-show meeting alone.
A factory visit allows buyers to check production processes, raw materials, quality control, warehouse operations, and loading procedures before developing a long-term supply relationship.

Final Thoughts
Canton Fair 2026 can be a useful starting point for international buyers searching for China plywood suppliers. However, supplier selection should go beyond a trade-show meeting.
Before placing a bulk order, evaluate product quality, manufacturing capability, export experience, pricing, and long-term supply stability. With proper preparation, buyers can turn a Canton Fair visit into a more efficient China plywood sourcing process.
